Hello!
You’re likely here because you signed up for the Findaway Voices newsletter at some point – or maybe you’ve been a Voices user for years and are interested in staying up to date on how to best grow your audiobook business.
In either case, you’re likely well aware that INaudio took on ownership of the Voices platform last year. We’ve been hard at work whipping our systems into shape, and we have a LOT planned for this year to improve the author experience on Voices: think new tools and features, new data insights, more automated and streamlined capabilities, and more ways to get your titles discovered on retail platforms.
To make sure Voices users can easily stay up to speed on what we’re working on (and why!), we’re kicking off this newsletter with fresh eyes and a focus on sharing a peek behind the curtain. This monthly dispatch isn’t just about Voices product and platform news – we intend this to be a space for authors to dive deeper into their understanding of the audiobook space and also provide insight into how we think about the future of audiobooks.
In that vein, we thought the best way to welcome subscribers would be to share who we actually are: the real people who spend all day thinking about how to make the Voices platform great. Allow us to introduce ourselves:
Laura
I’m INaudio’s Head of Marketing, which means I wear a lot of hats – one of my favorites being the opportunity to write and edit this newsletter. I studied journalism in college and am thrilled to be in a position to write for an audience of writers. Real person stuff: I’m also a mom of one toddler, one soon-to-be newborn, and one melodramatic dog in Southern California. I would categorize myself as a voracious stacker of books on my nightstand and my goal this year is to get more into modern sci-fi & fantasy.
Worth noting in the year 2026: I can promise you that these newsletters will always, always be written by a human and not a machine. However, you can still expect plentiful em dashes. The robots will never take that away from me!
Debbie
I’m the Author Partnership Lead – this means if you think it, I care about it! My role here is to listen to YOU and communicate your thoughts and needs back to the team. You’re the beating heart behind Voices and I’m committed to making it a great place for you and your audiobooks to thrive. Outside of my time here I’m a wife and the mom of 3 boys aged 8, 7, and 5. As you can imagine, there are very few quiet moments in my house. I’m also an enthusiastic reader and I was thrilled to find that some of my absolute favorite authors are, in fact, in Voices! I like to joke that this is a “fake job” because I feel so fortunate to work in the book space, and I’m thrilled to be supporting authors every day.

Hey y’all, I lead Product at INaudio. My priority is making Voices an intuitive, easy-to-use platform that gives you the tools to get your work in front of listeners everywhere. My wife and I just had our first kid and share our home with a German Shepherd and a Chihuahua! These days we’re reading a whole lot of Shel Silverstein and listening to lots of Reggae.
To be clear, nearly everyone on INaudio’s team touches Voices in some way – including the numerous engineers and developers who actually build new features and keep the platform running. The three of us are simply the core of Voices’ strategic approach, and the people you’ll most likely be hearing from if you read this newsletter, reach out to our team, or find us at an event this year.
A little more on what to expect from this newsletter… You’ll see a combination of deep dives on news & updates about the Voices platform, as well as insights from authors with successful audiobook businesses and other notable voices in the audiobook space. We’ll also always include a Voice Notes section (see below) for quick hits of product and platform updates, new releases from our author community, and more.
We’re so excited to dive in, and we hope you are too!
